Optical cables and wonderland
It has been 1 week since we got optical cable (internet and TV) and I only had time to test it today.
I'm really impressed!
Check it out:
The download speed (even on peer 2 peer protocols) is amazing - and very close of the nominal (10mbps).
Right now Alex is playing around with National Geographics (recording, rewinding, fast-forwarding and so on..).
My impressions? The price: only 27 EUR monthly ;)
p.s 1) I'm not a fan of Naruto - it was just a test. Nothing against it either..
p.s 2) Yes, I have never seen Shelter (so far..)

Seegrotte
Seegrotte (german for Cave's Lake) is a lake situated 20km from Vienna, capital of Austria.
The weather yesterday was nasty and we decided that we wouldn't let the day pass by -even though it was around 10º outside we took our sweaters, jackets and headed to see this tourist attraction.
The cave has a very interesting history: at first it was designed designed to be a gypsum source for locals on early 20th century. The lake only came up once people started to dig the second floor for more and more gypsum - it's said the water came up from the floor in a big surprise with 7 other springs that lie there until today.
In the Second World War the germans took over the mine for building up their first militar aircraft - it was a safe-underground place hence very safe from any bomb-like attack. Actually, the German army kept the ENTIRE second floor dried for 1 whole year while building the aircraft - they pumped out around 60000 L of water EVERY DAY!
Today the mine is 100% tourism and you pay 9€ entrance fee including a boat ride in the lake on the second floor.
The whole tour takes aproximately 30min and we left the place around 17h - so we decided to step by in Vienna for a coffee & walk & go ;) Next time we will manage to rent two bikes and ride around Vienna (it's a very nice rental system!!!).
Enjoy the pictures!

Flash update
Well, I'm alive, still facing some troubles with my VISA - yeah, I got a problem regarding super-legalization bullshit.
Meanwhile I'm working on some personal stuffs and traveling. Last weekend I went to Geneva - pictures are so far available at orkut.
Yesterday we got a god damn crazy weather in Bratislava - rainy, cold and a depressing grey sky.
It was around 8:30 in the morning when we got at the parking lot nearby our apartment and we realized the car upfront was with NO WHEELS. And all toold required for pulling out the wheels were still there.
It was rainy, early in the morning and all four wheels were removed: first thing that came to our mind was theft. Of course it was.
Impressively, by 6pm when we got back home the car was still there -half pulled up and with no wheels, exactly the same as in the morning.
I took advantage of it and got some pictures. I'm still impressed:

This is far likely to happen with our car because we have a security system for wheels - you buy a pack with 4 screws with different shape and replace one ordinary screw in each wheel for one of the new safe screws. You can only unscrew the safe screws with a proper tool (screwdriver with different shape) that came with the package and it's unique. In practice, the thief can unscrew all 12 screws from all wheels but he won't be able to unscrew one for each wheel (since he doesn't have the proper screwdriver).
I've heard of it in Brazil already - a friend of mine was theft exactly like this in front of his sister's house in Cuiabá - but I would never vote for the same here (I actually called Alex crazy when he bought this security screws).
Well, I guess he is not that crazy :)
Gosh!
